Am I required to sign a division order in order to receive payment of my royalty?
An oil company, under many circumstances, is entitled to withhold royalty payments until it receives a signed division order. There are exceptions, however. Futher, an oil company may not require you to sign a division order that contains more than provided under Texas law.
